This course is designed to give the student the fundamentals, skills and knowledge of firearm safety and how to safely handle and operate the different types of pistols. The course will cover the following information:

• The different types of pistols

• Proper grip

• How to acquire a proper sight picture

• How to load and reload the pistols

• How to properly and safely clear malfunctions

• How to break down and clean the pistols

• Proper storage of the pistols

• And more

Required equipment for a successful course completion.  (*) annotates optional equipment

• Semiautomatic pistol or Revolver

• 2 Magazines 

• 100 Rounds of factory loaded ammunition

• Proper PPE

  • Hearing Protection​

    • Electronic is prefered but not required

  • Eye Protection

  • Long pants

  • Closed toe shoes or boots with good foot and ankle support

• * Ball cap 

• * Sun Screen

• * Bug Spray

• Bottle water or Gatorade

  • An ice chest will be on the range to keep drinks cool.​

• Snacks

• Folding chairs are highly recommended

• Pen and Notepad
