ABOUT THE CLASS
LRRAT’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course is designed to put the students in a high intensity training environment while providing life saving techniques. This three-day course will be taught both in the classroom and LRRAT’s field training facility. Day 1 will consist of class room instructions. Day 2 will start in the classroom and prior to lunch, each student will complete a NAEMT multiple choice test.  After lunch, students will start field training exercises after a safety briefing and being split up into teams. Day 2 will be the longest day of the course running into early evening time to cover Low Light Triage and Care. Day 3 will continue with field exercises and field practical assessments.
Day 1: 8 Hours (08:30 -16:30) Lunch will be from 11:30 to 12:30
Day 2: 12 Hours (08:30 - 20:30) Lunch will be from 11:30 to 12:30 Dinner will be from 17:00 to 18:00
Day 3: 8 Hours (08:30 - 16:30) Lunch will be from 11:30 to 12:30

Day 2 and 3 will be held at the LRRAT Tranining Facility and will introduce the students to LRRAT’s Advanced Tactics Instructors. These INstructors will be playing the roles as Hostiles Forces and Injured Personnel. Students will be placed in various stressful but safe scenarios from over turn vehicles, care under fire, triage from explosions and other scenarios that will test the student on all the skill they learned from Day 1. Each student will also be taught the following during the 2 days of field training:​

​​We highly recommend each student bring as much gear as they wish to bring. If the students wish to run this portion of the course with their firearms, the Range Safety Officers and Advanced Tactics Instructors will clear and safe all weapons in the training area. No loaded magazines are allowed in the field training area. This is for all of our safety.​
Upon completion of TCCC, each student will be awarded a certificate from NAEMT for a minimum of 16 continuing education credits, a certificate from Little River Range and Training, TCCC patch.
​Equipment NeededÂ
**All optional equipment is not required for the course**
Day 1 will only need note taking materials and snacks. Â Â Â
Day 2 and 3: Weapons will be checked and made safe. NO loaded fire arms or magazines allowed in the training area.
1. Field uniform or clothes that will hold up outdoors.
2. Quality belt
3. Good boots with good ankle support
4 .Any gear the student wishes to bring. Make sure all equipment is in good operational condition.
5. PPE
6. Sunglasses
7. Ear protection - Electronic is preferred but not required.- **Certain scenarios involve loud explosions**.
8. Gloves
9. Sunscreen
10. Water or Gatorade. Ice chests will be provided in the field.
11. Flashlight (Handheld or Head mounted)
12. Chemical Lights
13. Note taking material.
14. Pistol or Rifle (All firearms will be empty during the course) **Optional**
                     Holster and slings are required if weapons will be used.
15. Knee and Elbow Pads **Optional**
16. Plate carrier or battle belt **Optional**
17. 50 rounds of pistol ammunition **Optional**
18. 50 rounds of rifle ammunition **Optional**
