ABOUT THE CLASS

Reactive Pistol 2 picks up where RP 1 left off. RP 2 is more intensive, physically and mentally challenging for the student. Emphasis on speed, stress, exertion, and the combative mindset are prominently factored into the course.

The armed citizens who carry concealed daily as well as *military vets and *retired law enforcement officers seeking to train for their post duty life and *active duty police officers who want to train for off-duty encounters would be served well in this course.

There will be a Safety Briefing with Medical Contingency Plan and Range Etiquette

Students should bring:​​

A quality semi-automatic pistol chambered in 380 auto, 9mm, 40 s&w, 357 Sig, or 45 ACP. – Pocket pistols, i.e. Ruger LCP, S&W Bodyguard or similar type pistols or revolvers are not allowed. – Sub-compact pistols, i.e. S&W Shield, Glock 43, Springfield XDs, Sig P365, Taurus G2C size pistols will be fine. – Compact and full size pistols, i.e. Glock 26, 19, 17, also S&W M&P, and others in that category that are hi-capacity, double stack pistols are highly encouraged.

– If you do not own any of the above described type pistols, let us know if advance and we can provide you with a loaner for the course.

Calibers outside the norm for EDC (Every Day Carry) will not be allowed, such as: FN 5.7, 44 Magnum, 50 cal., etc

Bring a quality duty type holster, belt holster or a concealment belt holster made of Kydex or leather. No flimsy nylon, rubber or cloth holsters. No Uncle Mike’s or Blackhawk Serpa holsters.

At least three (3) magazines for double stack pistols. Four (4) magazines for single stack pistols. belt worn double magazine pouches, or two speed loaders for those bringing revolvers. A belt designed for supporting gear.

A minimum of 400 rounds of ammunition (Premium Factory Ammo only – No Reloads Allowed)

Eye and Ear protection (electronic headphones preferred) Proper apparel for the weather of the day, including rain gear (we train rain or shine) Ball caps, brim hats or boon hats Boots, hiking shoes or sneakers (no flip-flops or sandals) Sunscreen Bug Spray Bottled water, Gatorade or other hydration you prefer Bring your lunch and snacks Folding / Camping chair is recommended Knee pads are recommended. (tactical, work or sports type will work) Gun cleaning kit Notepad and pen * Please have your magazines loaded when you arrive.

Any other gear, (i.e., first aid kits), or back-up gear you think you might need, bring it – better to have it and not need it than need and not have it.
