ABOUT THE CLASS

We are needing 10-15 volunteers to play injured personnel for our TCCC students to assess various injures. Volunteers need to be 16 years or older. Volunteers below the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by their legal guardian. 

All volunteers will recieve traning prior on what injuries they will be assinged during the Field Training Exercise. All voluenteers will be privoded lunch, any safety gear they may need and a Little River Range and Training TCCC Volunteer T-shirt. 

Below is the Course Description for what the students will be going over it the classroom. 

LRRAT’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course is designed to put the students in a high intensity training environment while providing life saving techniques. This two-day course will be taught both in the classroom and LRRAT’s field training facility.

Day 1 will be all classroom lectures and will cover the following:

  1. Triage
  2. Massive Hemorrhage
  3. Airway Management
  4. Respirations/Breathing
  5. Circulation
  6. Hypothermia
  7. Eye Trauma
  8. Patient Monitoring
  9. Pain Medications and Management
  10. Antibiotics
  11. Burns
  12. Splinting
  13. CPR
  14. Communications
  15. Documentation

Day 2 will be held outdoors at LRRATs Training Facility and will introduce the students to LRRAT’s Advanced Tactics Instructors that will be playing the roles as Hostiles Forces. Students will be placed in various stressful but safe scenarios from over turn vehicles, care under fire, triage from explosions and other scenarios that will test the student on all the skill they learned on from the prior day. Each student will also be taught the following during the field training:

  1. Tactical Field Care
  2. Care under fire or active threat
  3. How to establish a safe parameter

Lunch will be provided on day two due to location of the training area. Prior to the start date, joining instructions will be sent to each student with a menu and course overview.

We highly recommend each student bring as much gear as they wish to bring. If the students wish to run this portion of the course with firearms, the Range Safety Officers and Advanced Tactics instructors will clear and safe all weapons in the training area. No magazines are allowed in the field training area. This is for all of our safety.

We do have a Live Fire Range and after completion of the TCCC course, LRRATs Advanced Tactics Instructors will open the range and hold a 2-hour weapons course for those who wish to attend. This is a free course opened to the TCCC students. Students should bring 100 rounds of ammunition.

Upon completion of TCCC, each student will be awarded a certificate from NAEMT for 16 continuing education credits, a certificate from Little River Range and Training, TCCC Certified patch and poker chip.

Equipment Needed

**Items 8-12 are optional and are not needed for this course**

Day 1 will only need note taking materials and snacks.

Day 2:

  1. Field uniform or clothes that will hold up outdoors.
  2. Quality belt
  3. Good boots with good ankle support
  4. Any gear the student wishes to bring. Weapons will be checked and made safe. NO Magazines allowed in the training area.
  5. PPE Sunglasses Ear protection Gloves Sunscreen
  6. Water or Gatorade. Ice chests will be provided in the field.
  7. Note taking material.
  8. Knee and Elbow Pads **Optional**
  9. Plate carrier **Optional**
  10. Pistol with quality holster **Optional** 100 rounds of ammunition
  11. 2 magazines **Optional**
  12. Magazine holders **Optional**
